And They Crucified Him – Art Katz (1929-2007)

Posted by: Holly Dye   in Art Katz, Videos

“The fact that the world can so easily tolerate us, the fact of the almost complete absence of reproach, let alone of persecution is itself a shameful testimony that we are so like the world that we cannot be distinguished from it. We have lost even the difference, the sense of the difference, between that which is sacred and that which is profane.” – Art Katz

Very well said! The so very true! So then, what will we do about it?! Ahhh, something to ponder and be convicted of.

“What will we do about it?”

That is the question to everything we hear. What will we do with the messages that we listen to that stir up this kind of conviction?

My husband always says, “Every time the Word of God is preached, a decision must be made.”

May every sound Word stir us all to action.

Art was an interesting guy, controversial and unorthodox in some respects, but always passionate. I liked listening to him (although “liked” may be the wrong word to use for someone who often left you feeling like you’d just been spiritually punched in the gut).
