I think that falls into this category. People fall for so many things and are mislead because they lack a LOVE for the truth. The phenomenon is that for the most part it is the true believer, the one who earnestly desires to be cleansed of sin and clothed in righteousness and holiness, who will be deeply convicted of falling short of the mark God has set. Those professors of Christ whose lives reek of the death and corruption of this present evil world will have ready excuses for their behaviors that are not in accord with this message and with the Holy Scriptures. If you think these words do not apply to you, be assured that they do: thank God for leading you to read them, and pray God for wisdom to apply them to your life. Quickly-- do it now; don't wait! Your life is at stake! If you DO realize that this message is valid and true, thank God for it and pray for a greater understanding of it for both yourself and all others who read it!
